LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Mayo Mallette seeks a detail-oriented litigation associate attorney to assist partners with case analysis, discovery, and trial. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials and two to three years of practical experience in litigation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze and investigate litigation matters

• Develop arguments, including researching applicable caselaw

• Assist in all phases of litigation including arguing and defending motions, taking and defending depositions, and participation at trial

• Prepare and review motions, briefs, and discovery

• Report to partners and clients regarding case status

• Assist partners with support of non-litigation clients, including research projects and board meeting attendance

REQUIREMENTS

• 2-3 years litigation experience preferred

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Familiarity with federal and Mississippi rules of court

• Experience with common productivity applications and legal research platforms

• Proactive mindset and ability to work independently

• Ability to contemporaneously track and document billable time

• High level of professionalism and outstanding interpersonal skills

• Active Mississippi bar license
